One of the memorable day, is my birthday. It’s great because Natalie prepared a fantastic party with ‘friends’ in my home. All of my friends were topped with a beautiful party hat, celebrating my birthday. Besides, I were being ‘tricked’ to moon ki sweet water in Wan Chai and saw my best friends and sister there. It’s just amazing!

Another memorable day is 4/4. Fantastic event organized by AGWMM. It’s just so happy and fulfilling to serve God with so many brothers and sisters. Great to hear people were moved by God that day as well.

Short one, but meaningful one, a good reminder to myself.

I can answer that right away. My best friend is Matthew Wong, whom I grew up with since primary school.

We studied in the same primary and secondary school. Actually I don’t feel that we were close in primary school. It was the period after form 4 that made us great friends.

I still remember the times when we studied together for HKCEE. Times when we were ‘hunting’ girls on the streets. When we ‘cosplay’ in MIB in Aberdeen. When we ate potatos chips. There were simply so many memorable moments.

Why him? Well, I don’t have the exact reasons. But life is like that, you met up someone who you grew along with and it was kind of natural to call him my best friend. Although we are really different persons, but somehow experiences binded us.

Good luck to my best friend on earth and hope you live a happy and fruitful life in Brisbane. Hope to see you soon in Hong Kong or Brisbane~

Today I read an article talking about jazz improvisation and the article made some really great points. There are two points that I am particularly aware of because they pointed out exactly the mistakes many jazz musicians have made.

The first point is that – we have to place our fingers intentionally(pianist), not just wander around, playing notes on-the-go.

The second point is that – don’t improvise endlessly. I have actually heard many musicians, not just jazz musicians, improvise without any space placed in the music. Try to create something intentionally, then develop it, or just break it as a complete sentence if it doesn’t work too well for the future.

A times I think it is harder to practise jazz than classical music. In jazz music you have only the basic elements to work with, and then you have to develop them into many different forms, types, shapes, colours and eventually to wonderful(if allow) music. And because practise jazz uses so much brain energy, it makes you exhausting mentally. However it is real fun to improvise that it’s worthwhile to put time in it.

Why Outback in my blog? Well, ocassionally I will go to Outback with my friends for some chips and beer because of the joyful atmosphere and tasty food. But this year is quite special… because this year alone I have gone to Outback for like 20 times already. The reason behind, are the sweet potatoes which are served as side dishes with steaks in Outback. My father became a crazy fan of the sweet potatoes when he first tried it earlier this year. Since then, whenever the heng sang index goes up, we will be either eating in the Outback in Wanchai or the Outback in causeway bay. An extra tip – Wanchai’s Outback got better steaks. So that’s it, go and try yourself, they reall got great steaks and snacks.

I don’t always eat dougnuts, but I must admit that they are tasty food. I had already tried dougnuts from Kripsy Kreme since its launch in Hong Kong. They give away the original glazed flavor for free the other day. All you have to do is queue and wait for the staff to give you one. The ‘bread’ part of Kripsy Kreme’s dougnuts is really good tasting.

Soon Kripsy Kreme will move all the way out of Hong Kong (still 2 branches in airport). As my sister is working near the airport, she bought some Kripsy Kreme dougnuts for my family. Ummmm, tasty. I had the New York cheesecake flavor. This time I try hard to remember the taste. Although the fallout of Krispy Kreme does not make me sad, I still hope that I can eat their dougnuts ocassionally.

I did a GIG in Tsuen Wan back in 2005 for a couple of days. It was unpaid at last. And today I received a email that we can receive the payment that we were supposed to receive in 2005 Christmas. How come???????? hahahaha… life is full of surprises indeed!
